Bon Temps Cafe has been the home of Southern hospitality and fine Cajun cuisine on the Central Coast since 1995.

Owner Phil Lang invites you to treat your taste buds to a truly unique experience, one you will want to return for over and over. The atmosphere at the Bon Temps is casual and comfortable. Hanging beads and memorabilia cover the walls.

One hazard to having a great selection of hot sauces is spontaneous combustion. Actually, Bon Temps suffered a fire in November, 2010, but the damage has all been fixed and the new decor is great. No wonder Bon Temps is considered Central Cal-iente!

We feature zydeco music, live blues, and jazz on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, so come in and join the fun.

The wonderful aromas of true southern cooking will make you believe you’re in New Orleans. Watch them cook in the open kitchen. If Phil (not pictured at the right) is there (and in a good mood), he might even share one of his cooking secrets. If not, ask one of the waitresses (also not pictured at right). They’re always nice.

Try the Fat Tuesday Omelet for breakfast, or a catfish po-boy for lunch, but don’t miss the Crawfish Etouffee, Shrimp and Andouille Jambalaya, or the house specialty, Genuine Seafood Gumbo. You’ll find it hard to decide on one thing. Maybe that's why we have so many regulars.
